Aluminium alloy sheets are often used in the production of car components, but their use is still limited by their lower formability when compared to steel sheets developped for the same applications. In this work, the effect of various processing routes on the microstructure, properties and formability of aluminium alloy sheets has been studied. Different rolling techniques, including cross-rolling and asymmetrical rolling lead to variations in grain size and texture that affect the bendability and stretching of the sheets.
