In this work, we prepare different concentrated suspensions of silver in different organics matrix, studying the influence of polar solvents (glycerol and ethylene glycol) and non-polar solvents (PDMS and epoxy resin) in the electrical and rheological properties and we evaluate the stability of the prepared colloids, this being a crucial point for potential use in real electronic devices.
On the other hand, the amount of filler to reach the percolation threshold is studied, since it is the condition in which the material forms a 3D network and allows electricity to be conducted. Finally, a complete characterization of the electrical properties such as the conductivity and rheological properties such as the viscosity, stretchability and flowability is carried out and we will expose how the surface of the particles and the interactions with the solvent allow us to design materials with costumized properties.
