This research investigates the cooling behavior of chemically modified recycled PET foams. An IR camera, simulations and a vortex tube cooler are used to analyze local cooling rates and resulting crystallization behavior. The gained deeper understanding of the cooling process helps to re-evaluate the cooling process resulting in improved foam core properties.
