The increasing focus on biodegradable alloys and composites is driven by their competitive properties and distinctive degradation behavior, which renders implant removal surgeries unnecessary. Fe, known for its high strength and low degradation, is combined with HA/β-TCP, a bioceramic for better biocompatible properties. In this study Fe-based composite obtained via ball milling and High-Pressure Torsion (HPT) methods. HPT treatment with varying revolutions enhances density, mechanical properties. The tribological performance of consolidated Fe composites were investigated in detail. According to the obtained results, abrasive and adhesive wear are prominent, besides oxidative wear mechanism observed during EDS analysis.
