Controlling the wettability of glass surface has great potential applications in many fields. It was demonstrated that both hydrophobic and hydrophilic surfaces can be fabricated by ultrashort laser machining. The purpose of this study is to investigate the conditions for achieving superhydrophilicity of glass with high transmittance by femtosecond laser treatment.
