In this work, the ICME approach has been employed to rational and efficiently design high performance structural and functional integrated Mg alloys. The thermodynamic properties of Mg alloys have been systemic studied for the general alloy design principle and the intrinsic physical and chemical characteristics of Mg alloy phases have been calculated for the design of the phases' structure. Several type structural and functional integrated Mg alloys have been developed.
