The new polycrystalline Ni-base superalloy VDM Alloy 780 is analysed regarding its high temperature phases and oxidation behaviour. It shows excellent oxidation resistance after 800°C for 500h and 900°C after 125h, excelling commercially used Alloys like A780Plus and Udimet 720Li.
