The context of this study is the manufacture of a sensor on a plastic support, by inkjet printing[1], with the aim of taking advantage of the accuracy of this technique for miniaturization as well as the advantages of a non-contact deposition method. The idea is to develop homemade inks in order to avoid stability and reproducibility issues. Key points that led to obtaining these coatings are the synthesis of stable gold solutions, the formulation of the ink, the optimization of the inkjet printing and gold deposit parameters leading to the formation of a gold film. One of the constraints of using flexible substrates (polyimide) is the 400°C annealing temperature limitation. In order to get adhesive and continuous gold electrodes, two gold-based inks were developed, one made with nanoparticles and the other with precursor.
