All laboratories face time-related challenges when performing ICP-MS analyses. High-throughput laboratories may need to analyse 300-500 samples per day, where every second counts. Even lower-throughput labs spend significant time preparing calibration standards and diluting samples before analysis.

In 2024, two innovative systems were released that help streamline ICP-MS workflows:

1. ESI prepFAST 3: An automated sample preparation system that reduces manual steps and improves reproducibility

2. PerkinElmer NexION 1100: A powerful ICP-MS instrument with advanced features for high-throughput analysis while providing the lowest user maintenance requirements.

Together, these innovative, modern systems create a powerful combination when it comes to removing manual steps in the laboratory while ensuring trusted analytical data is provided. This poster offers a compelling case for automating ICP-MS workflows, with a comparative study that highlights the significant time savings and efficiency improvements realised by using the ESI prepFAST 3 and PerkinElmer NexION 1100.
