Femtosecond Bessel beams were employed to produce volume phase diffraction gratings in high refractive index change borosilicate (OG530). A study on the effect of the dimensions of the grating on their diffractive efficiency was performed and compared with both theoretical simulations and gratings previously fabricated using standard Gaussian optics.
