The present study explores the effect of stress-aging on the cyclic behavior of EN AW 7075 alloy. Specimens were aged under different stress values, temperatures and times. The impacts of stress-aging on the microstructural evolution were characterized using synergetic techniques e.g. electron microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Mechanical behavior of the stress-aged specimens was firstly studied under quasi-static monotonic loading utilizing tensile testing and hardness measurements. Then, cyclic properties of the specimens aged under stress were analyzed using low-cycle fatigue (LCF) experiments. The presence of external stress during aging led to the changes in the cyclic properties of EN AW 7075 alloy. Fracture analyses were carried out to determine damage mechanisms in the stress-aged specimens under cyclic loading.
