The Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) provides funding for cutting-edge, application-oriented research focused on bio-inspired, bio-hybrid and living materials. In 2025, the new materials research programme 'Material Innovations for Transforming Economy and Society (Mat2Twin)' was launched. Within this framework, funding measures in the focus area 'MaterialVital' will be presented.
