By applying an alternating magnetic field to superparamagnetic core-shell nanoparticles, which consist of a magnetite core and an organosilica shell, heat is generated through magnetic hyperthermia. This heat can be utilized to detach a polymer that is covalently bonded to the nanoparticles through a thermoreversible Diels-Alder reaction, thereby initiating the reverse reaction.
