Ensuring the quality of additively manufactured components is extremely important as AM technology adoption is becoming faster across multiple industry sectors. In the past couple of years, several international standards have been published that can be used to develop a quality assurance framework within an organization or to achieve third-party or regulatory certification. This presentation provides an overview of the need and importance of standards in delivering quality AM products, standards that can be mapped to your AM process chain for qualification, existing gaps in AM standardization, and the role of research-to-standards in AM.
