Technology advances have always been directly linked to the development of new materials. The latter inspire us to develop new configurations of already existing systems. This is the case for batteries. The development of solid-state electrolytes, particularly the [A2.99Ba0.005Cl; A = Na, K, Li] family of ferroelectric electrolytes, is the answer for overcoming safety issues, associated with the use of liquid electrolytes, but also for not using scarce and hazardous materials, such as lithium [1,2].
