Despite its radioactivity, uranium poses significant chemical toxicity, especially when accumulated in bone tissue. This study aimed to investigate uranium speciation and its impact on bone formation. By combining Taylor Dispersion Analysis and Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry, we developed a novel method to track uranium speciation in a 3D biomimetic bone model. Our findings shed light on the complex interactions between uranium and bone cells, highlighting the importance of further research to understand the long-term health implications of uranium exposure.
