3D printing allows the fast and cheap production of pills for applications in personnalized medicine, clinical trials or the formulation of drugs not adapted to classic processes. Here, we present a formulation for the 3D printing of microcellulose by binder jetting. The design is based on cellulose derivatives and water only, and allows the versatile production of solids with a controlled amount of either hydrophobic or hydrophilic drugs.
