Recently, electrohydrodynamic (EHD) printing has emerged as a new printing method that can provide better printing resolution.[1] We have developed novel nanoink platforms that are crucial to achieve the full potential of the EHD printing.[2] Our synthesized silver nanoink is highly stable and can produce high quality patterns with resolution 40 times better than the commercial ink. This procedure will allow on-demand manufacturing of electronics for rapid prototyping and on-site customized design. In addition, the new printing method does not require gravity and can work in low and zero-gravity environments. This can be useful for fabricating devices as needed in space without having to rely on a shipment from Earth. Our new technology has also been validated through zero-G flight tests supported by NASA.
