The Hi-Acts innovation platform is jointly operated by 5 Helmholtz research centers and connects players from industry, medicine and research around the topic of accelerator-based technologies. Hi-Acts offers customized solutions and support, to enable industrial users to use the research infrastructures with different accelerator technologies and radiation types, as quickly and easily as possible for their specific R&D or quality questions.

For material applications this include different methods for material analysis and material modification. Material analysis include non-destructive imaging technologies with nanometer resolution, time resolved spectroscopic measurements, diffraction measurements and non-destructive residual stress characterization. Material modification focus on ion implantation processes for doping, nanostructuring and defect engineering of semiconductor materials.
