We irradiated CVD diamond with a femtosecond laser and evaluated the laser-induced structural changes by micro-Raman spectroscopy. The Raman spectroscopy is a non-contact, non-destructive method for evaluating crystal structures, and is powerful for evaluating carbon-based materials with various allotropes.
