This study explores the application of protein nanofiber coatings on titanium surfaces to improve integration and overall performance. Focusing on human plasma protein, we utilize self-assembled protein fibers, introducing a novel class of protein nanofibers on titanium (PNFs). By tailoring fiber properties, we aim to create an environment conducive to tissue interactions while establishing an antimicrobial barrier on titanium surfaces. This study presents a versatile approach for enhancing implant-tissue interfaces, highlighting the dual functionality of protein nanofibers in optimizing integration and minimizing microbial colonization on titanium substrates.
