Facing an environmental crisis from the growth of smart technology, the electronics industry must adopt sustainability. This involves tackling unrecycled waste, pollution, and ecological disturbances from non-recyclable materials. The paper highlights the role of cellulose and paper materials in sustainable electronics, as championed by the CENIMAT/CEMOP research center. These materials offer a path to eco-friendly innovation, promising to reduce environmental impact without compromising on technological progress. Through sustainable material use and green energy integration, a shift towards smarter, sustainable living is achievable.
