Martensite/ferrite (M/F) interface damage largely controls dual-phase (DP) steel failure. Several M/F interface models have been proposed in the literature, which however rely on ad-hoc assumptions and do not incorporate the relevant microphysics. Therefore, a computational homogenization methodology to extract an effective cohesive law consistent with the underlying M/F interface microphysics is presented in this work.
