Cubic boron nitride (cBN), second only to diamond in hardness, is highly valuable for industrial applications like cutting tools and abrasives. During Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS), internal stresses and microstructural changes can affect material behavior. Microstructure development in cBN composites are investigated using advanced characterization methods, including high-resolution imaging. The goal is to enhance understanding of process-structure relationships to improve the performance of cBN-based materials.
