Elemental analysis of organic coffee beans reference material by TQ-ICP-MS

The study presents the elemental analysis of organic coffee beans reference material using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry with triple quadrupole (TQ-ICP-MS). Coffee samples of the Catuai Vermelho variety were collected in Ibiraci, Minas Gerais, and chemically characterized by neutron activation, inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry, and mass spectrometry. Long-term stability was evaluated at the Radioisotopes Laboratory of USP, ensuring recoveries between 80-102% for the determined elements, demonstrating the stability of the reference material over six years.
