This paper presents glucose sensors based on MoS2 nanosheets that use EIS measurements in a working environment of artificial saliva (phosphate-buffered saline-PBS). The morphology of MoS2 nanosheets was confirmed with XRD and SEM images. These materials were coated on indigitated electrodes. The reactance was measured as it changed with frequency, followed by Nyquist plots illustrating the relationship between the real and imaginary parts of reactance. We investigated glucose concentrations ranging from 2 to 9 mM, which covered the diabetes threshold (3.2 mM). The discovery confirms that this sensor operates linearly with high accuracy and repeatability in the 3-9 mM range. The results encourage the next step, testing the sensor's operation with natural saliva.
