Dear DGM members,

Dear readers,

"The question is not what the future will bring. The question is what we make of the future," said Henry Ford. Because of the climate crisis and energy transition, the joint responsibility of our MatWerk community at the European and global levels will also play an important role this year. With FEMS EUROMAT 2023 in Frankfurt/Main, the largest European materials congress, we are creating a space to meet and discuss future topics in materials science and materials engineering. Read the encouraging words and thoughts of Prof. Dr. Ehrenfried Zschech, Chair of FEMS EUROMAT 2023, in the January editorial. ...more
