The talk will focus on numerical approaches for modelling vector beam propagation through realistic atmospheric turbulence. We will discuss interesting effects that arise when vector beams are propagated through random media like diffuser glass or atmospheric turbulence. The new investigations suggest that the information in a light beam is preserved through randomness or disorder, although in an intuitively unfamiliar form. In situations where disorder cannot be controlled, these results can lead to novel practical applications.
