AI for Estimating Multiple Irradiation Conditions from Temperature Distribution

We developed a heating test system called the Selective Laser Thermoregulation system which uses a fiber laser and a galvano mirror system. Using this system, active heat control is possible by moving a laser spot with the galvano mirror system. However, the parameters of this system are highly flexible and it is difficult to determine the parameters to realize the required temperature distribution. Therefore, we developed the AI which suggests the multiple irradiation conditions from the required temperature distribution when a laser is irradiated to one point. The AI has an input layer, 3 hidden layers of fully connected and an output layer. The AI used 16807 pieces of data for learning and testing. The AI was able to estimate the laser power, the irradiation coordinate and the irradiation time. Especially, the AI was able to estimate the irradiation coordinate with high accuracy. However, the AI failed to learn laser spot size and was not able to estimate it.
