In this work n-type semiconductors containing 1,4,5,8,-naphtalenetetracarboxylic diimide, 1,8-naphthalimide, fluorene and benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole central fragments along with functionalized anchoring groups (quaternary ammonium, carboxyl, phosphonic and sulfonic acid) were synthesized. These materials are promising candidates for further photovoltaics development.
